Lauren Downing

Lauren is a newly qualified Solicitor in our private client department at our Bideford office.
Lauren is primarily, but not exclusively, instructed to draft Wills and Lasting Powers of Attorney and meets with clients face to face on a daily basis.
Lauren will take clear and full instructions and will provide tailored advice to each individual client. In addition, Lauren advises clients in respect of the current inheritance tax rules and how any liability may or may not impact their estate.
She says ” Matters within the Private Client department are often very personal and have to be handled with sensitivity, care and understanding. I seek to ensure that clients are comfortable with myself, their surroundings and our discussions. I wish to make the process simple for clients and pride myself in dealing with matters in a timely and structured manner whilst having an attentive and sympathetic approach.”
Career
Lauren was born and raised in Bideford and whilst attending university in South Wales, knew that she wanted to work within her hometown and couldn’t wait to return and join a local firm. Lauren joined Peter Peter & Wright in July of 2019 and after undertaking a Training Contact, qualified as a Solicitor in August 2024.
