Donna has over 16 years of experience in private Client matters. She deals with Probate matters, as well as the preparation of Wills and Lasting Powers of Attorney.

Donna has extensive experience in dealing with the preparation of Wills. Donna is able to advise clients on how best to ensure assets pass in accordance with their wishes, taking into account inheritance tax, any potential claims and family dynamics. Donna is very familiar with Lasting Powers of Attorney and is able to complete the forms in accordance with the client’s wishes, ensuring that they are correctly signed so that the registration process can go through without any issues. Donna can also deal with all aspects involving estate administration (probate) including intestacy matters.

She says: “Losing a loved one, is one of the hardest things a person can go through. It can be an extremely stressful and emotional time and I aim to support my clients by offering them clear, practical advice whilst taking over the burden of dealing with the administration of an estate.  I pride myself on being approachable and friendly. I also aim to work efficiently, to move matters along without any avoidable delays.”

Career

Donna began working for Peter Peter and Wright in our Holsworthy office in 2004. She then worked for a short period of time for a firm of solicitors in Watford, before returning to Bude in 2012. Since then, Donna has worked in the Bude office, dealing with all matters relating to Wills, Probate and Lasting Powers of Attorney. Whilst working and raising her young family, Donna studied with CILEX (Chartered Institute of Legal Executives) and qualified as a Chartered Legal Executive in 2019. She is also a Commissioner for Oaths.
