Adrian originates from Coventry. He switched from Science to Law and trained and qualified as a Solicitor in Coventry in 1971. He moved with his family 37 years ago to join the firm, which was then known as Peter Peter & Sons, which was a well established 3 partner firm based in Holsworthy. Adrian has always lived in Bude and has no regrets in moving to such a beautiful and friendly area.
Since Adrian joined Peter Peter & Wright the firm has changed beyond all recognition now having 11 partners across four offices in Bude, Bideford, Holsworthy and Okehampton. Adrian feels that the firm has retained its friendly and approachable attitude with a close involvement in its local communities in Devon and Cornwall.
Adrian is a keen sportsman and has helped to develop sport in the area. He has a close interest in Bude Rugby Club, has been a director of the Charity, Bude Haven Recreation Ground for many years and is providing Pro bono legal support to the Friends of Bude Sea Pool, a local project to sustain the sea pool at Summerleaze Beach. Adrian was also involved with the “Leader” project which was a £4m Bude/Holsworthy EU funding initiative to help develop economic growth in the area. He was one of the founding members of the Holsworthy Biogas Project which resulted in the construction of the first Community Biogas Plant in the country. He has encouraged the firm to adopt advances in technology and ensured Peter Peter & Wright was one of the first 10 firms of Solicitors in the country to have a website.
Adrian was our senior partner between 2011 and 2012, retiring at the end of December 2012. Adrian remains as a Consultant and is our appointed Compliance Officer for Legal Practice.
Adrian says: “We have passed through a period of radical change for Solicitors’ Practices but we are ideally placed to embrace these changes. We are determined that we will continue to offer a good, friendly, professional legal service, locally based, providing value for money to our many private and commercial clients.”
